Red Light Therapy Mask Reviews is an independent publication that tests and compares red light therapy face masks for readers in the United States. We do not manufacture or sell devices.
Why this site exists
Red light therapy masks are an unusually difficult category to shop in. The specifications that matter — what wavelengths a device actually emits, how much light reaches the skin at the distance the mask sits, how much of the face is covered — are the specifications manufacturers document least consistently. Meanwhile the numbers that are easy to print on a box, like LED counts, correlate poorly with anything a buyer cares about.
The result is a market where the loudest claim often wins. This site is an attempt to compare the hardware carefully, publish the method, label every figure with where it came from, and be explicit about the limits of what a product comparison can tell you.
What we do
- Buy or borrow masks, disclose which, and test them against a published protocol.
- Measure what can be measured, and clearly separate our measurements from manufacturer claims.
- Score every product against the same nine weighted categories.
- Publish comparisons, rankings and plain-language guides to the specifications.
- Correct our mistakes in public, with a dated change history.
What we do not do

- We do not sell devices and we have no interest in any manufacturer. If that ever changes for any product, it is disclosed on that product's review and on every ranking containing it. See our ownership disclosure.
- We do not sell placement. No brand can buy a position, a score, or a favourable conclusion.
- We do not publish invented signals. No aggregate star ratings we did not collect, no customer testimonials we did not receive, no scores for products we have not tested.
How the site is funded
Some outbound links to retailers may earn a commission when a reader buys through them. Commission is disclosed next to the links themselves as well as on our affiliate disclosure page. It plays no part in the scores, which are computed from category ratings entered against evidence.
If reader revenue ever comes from another source — sponsorship, advertising, subscriptions — it will be documented on that page before it starts, not after.
